BULLET PROOF HELMET

Ergonomy
The helmet is easy to wear, adjust and remove with ease even with gloved hands. It is provided with a three point chin strap with comfortable cushioned in cup made of appropriate non-abrasive, non-allergic material/double strap of reasonable width. The helmet covers the neck and ears but it does not impair the hearing. Helmet is compatible with active ear protection.

Shape
The helmet adequately covers the head, neck and ears of the we are and it signed on the lines of Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops (PASGT; pronounced pass-GET). The shape of the helmet facilitates the use of handsets with in service communication equipment.

Material
Material made of layers of aramid fabric with special resins.

Surface Finish & Colour
The helmet is painted with crinkle matt finish and olive green, Khaki or any other colour.

Protection
Helmet will protect against 9 x 19 mm cartridge fired through Sub Machine Gun (Such as Steen Machine, MP 5, Carbine any other variant) from a distance of 5 meters to achieve muzzle velocity 430±15m/sand weight of the bullet between7. 4gram to 8.2gram.The material of the helmet is fire / flame retardant and water resistant.

Climatic Condition
The entire helmet can with stand repeated and sustained exposure to climatic conditions as given below:-

• (a) Temperature – 50°Cto + 60°C for six hours.
• (b) Relative Humidity – up to+90%

Weight

Inner Lining / Harness
The helmet will be provided with as us pension system which is adjustable to head size.

Chin Strap
Adjustable chin strap with three or four point support is provided. The material of the chin strap is suitable to Indian weather conditions.

Size
The helmet is provided in three sizes, viz. Small, Medium and Large size. The circumference of the helmet is 48/52cms, 52/57cms &57/64cms respectively

Shelf Life
Shelf life of helmetis10years in storage conditions. The operation al life of 7years is in the field conditions.

Provision for Visor
A provision exists in the Bullet Proof Helmet for attaching a protective visor. An additional weight of up to 1.5kg switch lick system (Tolerance of 10gms permitted) for the visor is added.

Warranty
Five years for fare wear & tear of the helmet.
